Houthi negotiating team leader, Abdul Qader Al-Murtada, pointed out that "an agreement has been reached with representatives of the government in Aden regarding the release of the Islah Party leader Mohammad Qahtan." The UN envoy to Yemen also confirmed that "the ongoing round of negotiations in Oman regarding the detainee file is taking place in a positive and constructive atmosphere," between the Ansar Allah movement and the internationally recognized Yemeni government. He announced that the concerned parties have reached an understanding regarding procedures for the release of detainees related to the conflict, including Mohammad Qahtan. The UN envoy emphasized "the need to continue negotiations responsibly to free all detainees based on the principle of all for all," adding that "the negotiations are part of UN efforts to support the parties in fulfilling their commitments under the Stockholm Agreement."
