Trudeau to Canadians: The Situation is Difficult... Leave Lebanon

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that there is a real danger of escalation in the conflict between Israel and "Hezbollah," and that Canadians should leave Lebanon while it is still possible, as Ottawa may not be able to evacuate everyone if the situation worsens. He added to reporters in Ontario: "We see that the risk of escalation is real, and the challenges in the region are significant. We are making some preparations to be able to provide support in case things deteriorate, but the situation is so difficult that we may not be able to evacuate all Canadians."
