In a pioneering move that carries significant national meanings to support the heroes and heroines of Lebanon in Taekwondo, and to further the successful journey of the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation in this immensely popular martial art, a number of members from the Lebanese community in the Ivory Coast, including businessman Khalil Zine, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ivory Coast, Dr. Joseph Khoury, General Director Serge Aql, and member Mohammad Zain, have taken the initiative to support both the federation and specifically the preparations of champion Leticia Aoun, who has qualified to participate in the Summer Olympic Games to be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
This initiative by members of the Lebanese community and the leaders of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ivory Coast aims to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Lebanese community in Ivory Coast and the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, headed by Dr. Habib Zreifeh. Dr. Zreifeh expresses his appreciation for this support and thanks all those who contributed to supporting the federation and helping cover some of the expenses and preparations for Olympic champion Leticia Aoun from the Lebanese community in Ivory Coast and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He will hold a press conference at 7 PM on Monday, July 8, at the Lebanese Club for Cars and Tourism (Kaslik) to officially announce this support and its benefits in the presence of representatives from the supporting entity, official and sports dignitaries, the Taekwondo family, and members of the press and media.
