Businessman and former owner of the largest file-sharing platform Megaupload, Kim Dotcom, stated that "the war in the Middle East will bury the American financial empire." In response to a tweet from Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, he wrote on the platform "X": "The US government cannot afford another war in the Middle East, and it will turn into a proxy war with Russia and China that will bury the American financial empire." Earlier, Medvedev expressed confidence that "a full-scale war in the Middle East is the only way to achieve a fragile peace in the region."
