The White House announced that "Apple" has agreed to adhere to the recommendations from U.S. authorities regarding security in the design of artificial intelligence technologies. On Friday, the White House published a report on the U.S. administration's efforts to implement a presidential decree issued nine months ago, emphasizing the need for oversight on the risks posed by artificial intelligence, responsible development of these technologies, and the necessity for independent experts and government agencies to test them.
The White House noted that since last year, 15 major technology companies, including "Amazon," "Google," "Meta," and "Microsoft," have committed to voluntary responsibilities during the development of artificial intelligence. Apple’s commitment to similar obligations was announced on the eve of the launch of its Apple Intelligence service, expected this fall. It is important to mention that the White House's recommendations for mitigating AI risks to U.S. national security and user safety are not mandatory and do not have legal force.
