Dubai International Boat Show Concludes Its 30th Edition

The Dubai International Boat Show, the largest and most prestigious event in the marine lifestyle sector across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, concluded its 30th edition yesterday after a successful week that saw numerous high-value boat sales, valuable discussions focused on the latest industry developments, and other leading agreements and partnerships aimed at shaping the future of the yachting world.

The show is recognized as one of the most influential boat exhibitions globally, particularly thanks to its role in accelerating the growth of the global yacht industry over its five-day duration from February 28 to March 3. This success aligns with Dubai's growing reputation as one of the premier destinations for marine recreational tourism.

The exhibition featured several notable deals, including the largest sale recorded by Gulf Craft, which sold a Lamborghini 63 yacht, manufactured by Technomar, to a resident in the country. Additionally, Sanlorenzo sold three yachts during the show, reflecting the exhibition's role as a cornerstone for achieving lucrative sales by connecting with new potential buyers and engaging with existing clients. Gulf Craft successfully sold a range of vessels, from Majestic yachts to the famous Nomad yacht, as well as the Silvercraft and Silverkat brands. The MTM group, participating in the exhibition for the 18th time, sold 10 jet ski units.

Sanreef Yachts showcased two fully electric yachts, emphasizing energy efficiency and sustainable air conditioning solutions, while manufacturing yacht components from plant-based materials, highlighting its commitment to the highest standards of excellence and environmental safety. Furthermore, Azimut, an eco-friendly company, presented the first fuel cell tested on board a yacht, its first hybrid yacht, and a fleet of low-emission yachts. The company also formed an alliance with Eni Life (sustainable mobility by Eni) to decarbonize the yachting sector and supply hydrogen-treated vegetable oil.

During the show, it was announced that the 31st edition would be hosted at Dubai Harbor in February 2025. Trixie LohMirmand, Executive Vice President of Events at the Dubai World Trade Centre, and Abdullah bin Habtour, CEO of Asset Management at Shamal Holding – the owner of Dubai Harbor, confirmed the continuation of the long-term partnership between the exhibition and the venue to provide further growth and success opportunities for the global yachting community.

Additionally, the Captain Club, an exclusive members' club, announced its plans to expand from Dubai to Kuwait, especially in light of developments in the marine sector in the region and the positive impact of the Dubai International Boat Show on all marine sector professionals.
