The military spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, Abu Obeida, announced that "the Al-Qassam Brigades pledge allegiance to the Mujahid leader Yahya Sinwar and declare their complete readiness to implement his decisions. They believe that his selection as the president of the movement, succeeding our martyred leader Mujahid Ismail Haniyeh, is evidence of the movement's vitality, cohesion, and strength, thanks to God Almighty."
