Mother Accused of Abusing Her Minor Children

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement on Tuesday: "As part of the ongoing efforts by the Internal Security Forces to combat all types of crimes and offenses, especially those committed against children, information was received by the Sidon Judicial Division in the Judicial Police Unit from the Appeals Prosecutor's Office regarding parents abusing their two minor children in their home located in the area of Harat Sidon.

Following the investigation, it was found that the parents are:

- A. A. S. (born in 1987, Lebanese)

- S. R. (born in 1981, Lebanese)

Immediately, a patrol from the division went to the couple's home, where one of the children, aged 5, was found sitting on a children's chair, with his legs tied using a black cloth secured to the chair, according to the statement from the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division.

Upon questioning the parents, the mother admitted to abusing her mentioned child, while the father denied harming his children but acknowledged being aware of the abuse by the mother. According to the statement from the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, the mother was arrested, and the children were temporarily handed over to their relatives until necessary protection is secured for them by a child protection organization, based on the directives of the competent judiciary."
