Celebration Night Tragedy: 5 Syrians Killed in Barbershop in Turkey, Suspect Commits Suicide

A horrific crime occurred in Gaziantep, southern Turkey, on the night of Eid al-Adha, where a Syrian man shot and killed five Syrian youths and injured two others before taking his own life after a police chase. The incident began when the assailant, who suffers from mental health issues, entered a barbershop on "Vatan" Street in the "Şahinbey" district, where he opened fire on a Syrian youth, killing him instantly, according to Turkish newspaper "Hürriyet."

The shooter then moved to the "Oğuzlar" area, where he entered a home and opened fire on the occupants, resulting in the deaths of four more Syrian young men and injuring two others. Afterward, the assailant fled and committed suicide by shooting himself in another location following a chase with Turkish police. Investigations are still underway to uncover the circumstances of the incident, with police teams implementing extensive security measures in the areas where the events occurred.
