French newspaper "L'Equipe" confirmed that "Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khayefi met in recent hours with officials from the American investment fund 'Arctos Partners' to sell a stake in the club." It explained that "the American investment fund is on the way to purchasing a percentage of the club's shares and acquiring 5 to 15% of those shares."
The newspaper also reported that "the Americans showed interest in buying a stake in Paris Saint-Germain last May, and now they have begun to act swiftly to finalize the deal, as a delegation from the United States arrived in Paris and met with Al-Khayefi, who took them to team training and introduced them to Spanish coach Luis Enrique."
"L'Equipe" confirmed that "Al-Khayefi met with the delegation for three and a half hours, during which the American investment fund presented its project to the club president, who plans to inject funds into PSG to develop the club and increase its revenue, describing the meeting as 'productive.'"
Meanwhile, "Arctos Partners" aims to establish a partnership with Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) to collaborate on sports events within Qatar, according to the French newspaper, which also assured that this deal should be completed within the next two months.
At the same time, "L'Equipe" indicated that Asian investors spoke with Al-Khayefi while the Paris Saint-Germain team was in Japan during the summer tour and presented their investment plans for the club, but the president is prioritizing the Americans.
French network "rmcsport" confirmed that this move does not mean that Qatar is considering withdrawing from the Paris Saint-Germain project, but the goal is to inject new money to allow for new investments to increase the club's income. It is noted that Qatar Sports Investments acquired 70% of Paris Saint-Germain's shares in 2011 before taking full ownership in March 2012.
