China Launches 4 Satellites from a Barge in the Yellow Sea

The Chinese company Galactic Energy and the Taiyuan Cosmodrome successfully launched 4 Tianqi satellites into their designated orbits. The Galactic Energy's WeChat page indicated that the satellites were launched at 16:12 Beijing time (11:12 Moscow time) using the Ceres-1 rocket. For this purpose, a platform was used that is mounted on a barge in the Yellow Sea near the coast of Shandong Province in eastern China.

These satellites (Tianqi numbered 25, 26, 27, and 28) will be utilized to support communications during the implementation of Internet of Things projects. The Tianqi satellites were developed by the Chinese company Guodian Gaoke. They form a constellation of satellites that provide data collection and transmission to communication networks used in maritime, environmental, meteorological, forestry, emergency response, geological, and smart city projects.

It is worth noting that the Ceres-1 is a lightweight, four-stage rocket that operates on solid fuel, with a streamlined diameter of 1.4 meters and a length of 19 meters. It can carry about 400 kilograms of payload to low Earth orbit and has launched more than 20 satellites.
