Real Madrid Hopes for Liverpool Transfer Success

A Spanish media report today indicated that Real Madrid is hoping for the transfer of Japanese winger Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad to Liverpool. Recent reports have suggested that Liverpool is considering activating the buyout clause in Kubo's contract, which is set at €60 million. According to the Spanish newspaper "AS," if the transfer goes through, Real Madrid is expected to receive a significant amount of €27 million.

Liverpool is in need of a standout winger, especially with the contract of their star player, Egyptian Mohamed Salah, set to expire at the end of next season, and no agreement on renewal reached so far. Real Madrid holds 50% of the rights to any future sale of Kubo, according to the Spanish newspaper. Real Sociedad is entitled to €54 million out of the €60 million after tax deductions, meaning that the Madrid club will receive €27 million if the deal is completed.
