In a case where Donald Trump is set to appear before a criminal court in New York in April, former porn star Stormy Daniels presents her account of an alleged relationship with the former U.S. president in a documentary that began airing on Monday. The film titled "Stormy," available on the Peacock streaming platform, runs for nearly two hours and features interviews and archival footage, detailing the story of Stephanie Clifford, her real name, according to AFP.
In the documentary directed by Sarah Gibson and produced by Erin Lee Carr, Daniels claims that when she met Trump in 2006, he told her he "never wanted to be president." She added that Trump, born 45 years ago in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, later secured the Republican nomination for the 2016 presidential election, stating, "That's when the problems began."
Daniels also alleged, "All I had to do was sign a piece of paper for confidentiality," while a document displaying an order for the payment of $130,000 in 2016 appears in the background, just before the presidential election where Trump defeated Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
Daniels rose to fame due to the legal and political ramifications of her brief relationship with Trump, which he denies ever occurred. Notably, following a years-long criminal investigation and unprecedented charges against Trump in 2023, a New York judge postponed his trial to mid-April, which was originally set to begin on March 25 regarding those secret financial transactions.
