Member of the "Lebanese Forces" bloc, MP Nadine Jumblatt, continues his American visit at the invitation of the expatriate authority of the Lebanese Forces party. He met with Lebanese activists in civil society and listened to their concerns and demands regarding their attachment to a country that is stable security-wise, economically, and socially. He addressed them saying: "Your concerns and worries are the same as ours, since the establishment of Greater Lebanon and since independence. Your concerns require true unity among you, to extend hands with parties that believe in Lebanon of institutions, the unified army, and Lebanon freed from any guardianship and occupation. Let us unite our efforts to face all the challenges and difficulties facing the establishment of a sovereign Lebanese state. What has been achieved in the last parliamentary elections was a significant step toward further future steps, allowing the voice of those who wish to preserve Lebanon and its stability and economy to prevail, far from any external agenda. Lebanon has paid heavy prices and continues to do so for others, and now, following the Palestinian influx, it suffers from the Syrian displacement that may change the face of Lebanon if we do not address its dangers and confront it in all international forums and our military, security, judicial, and diplomatic institutions." He concluded: "The future of Lebanon depends on true citizenship and genuine belonging only to Lebanon. Your aspirations are the same aspirations we are fighting for in the parliament and in the Lebanese Forces party, which seek to ensure equality among all Lebanese in rights and duties. This is how nations are built and endure. Let us look forward together to a democratic and free state."
