The Mexican League All-Stars defeated the MLS All-Stars 4-1 in the "All-Star" match with the absence of Argentine Lionel Messi and Uruguayan Luis Suárez. Argentine players Herman Berterame (17), Juan Brunetta (68), Maximiliano Mesa (69), and Moroccan Osama Idrissi (41) scored for the Mexican team, while Colombian Cuco Hernández (17) scored for the American team. The "Inter Miami" players, Messi and Suárez, were not on the updated roster of the league for the match held in Columbus, Ohio, due to Messi's ankle injury sustained during the Copa America final against Colombia, and Suárez's knee pain.
