Gallant: Nasrallah is Leading Lebanon to Pay a Heavy Price

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant attended a military drill this evening that simulated a scenario of war in the northern region. Yoav Gallant stated that "the situation of escalation at the border with southern Lebanon could deteriorate into a state of war." In his remarks to military leaders near the Lebanese border during the drill, he added: "Under the current circumstances, Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah could drag Lebanon into paying an extremely heavy price." He continued: "Lebanese people can't even imagine what could happen." According to Israel's army radio, the Israeli minister noted that "this operation could also deteriorate into a state of war, and this is not a theoretical issue. It is a real one."
