Just hours before the first day of Eid al-Adha, a tragic incident occurred in the city of Tanta, Egypt, where a young man killed his younger sister after suspecting her behavior. The mortuary of Tanta University Hospital received the body of a girl named Nada (20 years old), who lived on Sayyed Abdel Latif Street, within the jurisdiction of the Second Tanta Police Station. The body was retained pending judicial proceedings due to the suspicion of a criminal act.
Investigations revealed that the victim's older brother was the one who strangled her using a scarf inside their apartment, driven by his doubts about her behavior, without regard for their sibling relationship, the upcoming holiday, or even allowing time to uncover the truth. Authorities have arrested the perpetrator and presented him to the public prosecution, taking necessary legal actions regarding the incident.
