The Moroccan public was shaken by a heinous crime revealed in Tangier on Saturday. Security forces arrested a woman and four of her children on suspicion of involvement in the murder of her husband and the concealment of the crime, which dates back to 2018. This came during a search of her home in Tangier after she was detained with her children in an unrelated case concerning the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, according to police reports.
The police noted that they investigated the disappearance of the husband, who had been missing under suspicious circumstances for six years, and subsequently found his body hidden in a concrete wall of their home located in the old Tangier area. The shocking details of the crime led many Moroccans on digital platforms to express their horror, describing the family's actions as terrifying and appalling.
Social media users connected the details of this crime to a similar story featured in the Ramadan series "Dar Al-Nasaa," which aired on Moroccan channel 1. One follower on the popular "Al-Fassia" Instagram page commented, "The series 'Dar Al-Nasaa' is true in reality." Others wrote on Facebook, "The police came to look for drugs and found the body of their father who had been missing for years, while they pretended to search for him; God revealed their betrayal through their drug dealing."
It is noteworthy that the suspects have been placed in custody, while the public prosecutor continues to investigate the motivations behind this crime. An autopsy has been requested to determine the cause and manner of death.
