Title: Continued Clashes in Zawiya, Libya; Child Killed and Injuries Reported

Clashes continue in the city of Zawiya, located to the west of the Libyan capital, Tripoli, since the afternoon of Sunday. It has been reported that the announced toll includes the death of a child and eight injuries, with the possibility of an increase.

According to "Al-Wasat" portal, residents living near the events reported ongoing fighting in Zawiya using medium and heavy weapons. The Emergency and Ambulance Service has received distress calls from families trapped in areas close to the clashes. The service reported that a house near the Khazar market in the city was hit and that it had received distress calls that it could not respond to due to the increasing intensity of the fighting.

The Emergency and Ambulance Service requested that all families trapped in central Zawiya, along the hospital road, and those in the Harsha area contact two specific phone numbers. The same electronic newspaper reported from local residents that the coastal road in Zawiya has been closed due to the clashes, with videos circulating showing the sounds of gunfire.

Earlier, the Emergency and Ambulance Service asked the warring factions to declare a quick ceasefire to evacuate the families trapped in the areas surrounding the clashes, especially since some families have taken refuge in a marble factory in the region. They reiterated that the announced toll of one child's death and eight injuries is subject to increase.

Social media information indicates that the clashes are between two armed groups, one led by the commander of the Bridge Investigation Unit of the Zawiya Security Directorate, Mohamed Sifao, and the other led by the commander of the so-called "Al-Sallat Brigade," Othman Al-Lahab.
