The following parties and groups met: "National Bloc," "Advance," "Red Line," "North Meeting 3," "Change Stream in the South," "Coalition Awakened for Sovereignty and Justice" (Tripoli), and "Akkar Awakens." They issued a statement that read: "The recent incident in Al-Kahala, along with previous scattered security events, represents a dangerous political and security development that makes every region and village in Lebanon a target for violation and a human shield behind which the weapons of Hezbollah and all arms outside the authority of the state hide, moving between homes, cities, and ports. Despite the judiciary's and the security and military apparatus's negligence in fulfilling their duties, we still cling to the option of the state and its institutions in the face of its antithesis represented by the mini-state of Hezbollah and its weaponry. Therefore, we demand that the judiciary, along with all security and military agencies, take responsibility by conducting a serious investigation into the circumstances of the crime to uncover the source of this weapon and its intended use and aims, leading to the arrest of all aggressors and accomplices and bringing them to justice."
The statement continued: "Clarifying the truth and holding accountable those responsible for the repeated assaults on citizens across the nation's expanse precedes any dialogue, which should begin with the acknowledgment that there is no possibility of coexistence between the state and the mini-state. The logic of imposition and force exercised by Hezbollah against all Lebanese constitutes a threat to the project of establishing the state and preventing its establishment, as through its wars, both within Lebanon and abroad, it undermines security, sovereignty, and civil peace. This increases the risk of sliding into further strife and deepening internal divisions, reviving fears of civil war and allowing for investment in it."
The parties concluded: "The ongoing obstruction of the presidential election and the recent security events confirm that confronting Hezbollah's quest for hegemony is a matter that concerns the entire Lebanese community, not just a segment of it, and it can only be addressed through an approach that prioritizes the higher national interest against the party's defense of the interests of its regional axis, which is centered on the priority of restoring the state, achieving sovereignty, and ensuring justice and freedom for all Lebanese men and women."
