Hours after the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, inaugurated the Al-Dibs gas station in Kirkuk Province today, a fire broke out at the facility. Al-Sudani inaugurated the Al-Dibs gas power plant, which has a production capacity of 320 megawatts, via video conference, emphasizing that it is one of the long-delayed projects. However, shortly after its opening, a fire of unknown origin erupted at the station. Minister of Electricity, Ziad Ali Fadhil, had confirmed earlier today that the Al-Dibs power plant was completed in record time after being stalled for 20 years, noting that this plant would add 320 megawatts to the grid.
