The press service of the Russian Security Council reported that Russian-Iranian security talks took place in Tehran. Alexander Venediktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, held discussions with the Iranian side concerning security issues. The Russian Security Council stated: "Russian-Iranian consultations on security issues were held in Tehran, conducted by Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexander Venediktov with the participation of representatives from various ministries and administrations of both countries." It was emphasized that the parties discussed in detail the interaction between Russia and Iran in the security field, as well as the implementation of certain joint projects. They also exchanged views on regional and global security issues. Additionally, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian Acting President Mohammad Mokhber expressed their interest in continuing to develop cooperation between the two countries, including the implementation of promising joint projects in the energy and transportation sectors.
