Bassil Continues His Tour and Meets with the "Independent National Bloc"

The head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Gebran Bassil, continues his tour of political parties, as he met this Tuesday evening with the "Independent National Bloc" at the residence of MP Fred Haykal Khazen. He also met today with MP Faisal Karami and members of the "National Accord Bloc" in Ramlet El-Baida. Karami stated, "We must keep communication lines open to overcome the presidential crisis, which is the key to all solutions, and dialogue or consultation is the only way out, as proposed by President Berri in the roadmap, and we will proceed without preconditions." For his part, Bassil indicated that they agreed on several points, including the need to end the presidential vacuum, stating, "There is no solution except through understanding and consensus on a president, because otherwise, no one will be able to elect a president, and any bet on one team's victory over another is a failure."
