Drug Trafficking Between Shweifat and Khalde: Information Branch Arrests Suspects Red-Handed

Information was gathered by the Information Branch regarding two individuals promoting drugs between Shweifat and Khalde. As a result, the specialized units of the branch began their field and investigation procedures. Following inquiries and investigations, the branch was able to identify the suspects.

On July 3, 2024, after close monitoring, one of the branch's patrols was able to arrest them red-handed in the Shweifat area while they were promoting drugs on a black motorcycle without plates, which was seized, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division.

Upon searching them and the motorcycle, the following was found:

- A military pistol with a magazine and 5 usable bullets.

- 18 envelopes labeled (Nat Malek) containing cocaine with a total weight of approximately 65.3 grams.

- 21 envelopes labeled (Baz Malek) containing base substance with a total weight of approximately 73.5 grams.

- 7 envelopes labeled (Ajnebi) containing cocaine, with each envelope weighing approximately 3.6 grams.

- A white paper labeled (1 gram Sand Nat) with cocaine weighing approximately 1.5 grams.

- 5 envelopes containing hashish, with a total weight of approximately 93.8 grams.

- 5 bags containing marijuana, with a total weight of approximately 140 grams.

- A leather wallet containing drugs, a roll-up paper notebook, a counterfeit $100 bill, two mobile phones, and a sum of money.

Upon interrogation, they admitted to the charges regarding drug use and trafficking on the seized motorcycle between the areas of Shweifat and Khalde. According to the statement from the Directorate General of Internal Security Forces, legal action was taken against them, and they were referred along with the confiscated items to the relevant authority based on judicial instructions. Efforts continue to arrest all involved parties.
