Action Against Famous Doctor for Disrespectful Comments About Egyptian Men

An Egyptian court has set the date of October 16 to hear a direct misdemeanor case against the famous doctor, Heba Qotb, accused of insulting Egyptian men and using inappropriate phrases and descriptions. Egyptian lawyer Ashraf Nagy filed a lawsuit against Dr. Heba Qotb, claiming that her statements incite the destruction of the Egyptian family, promote the avoidance of marriage and stability, and spread false news about Egyptian society, depicting it as a morally corrupt society rife with debauchery and vice, which has caused significant outrage among Egyptian men, according to complainant Ashraf Nagy.

In the statements attributed to Dr. Heba Qotb, as mentioned in the lawsuit, she noted that "the Egyptian husband is convinced that if he is kind to his wife, she will change towards him," adding that everything the Egyptian husband promises his wife before marriage changes and differs afterwards. She stated that the Egyptian husband only says sweet things in two situations: either during the courting period or if he is desperate, highlighting that when a husband addresses his wife as "aunt" or "blessing," she becomes very upset. Dr. Heba Qotb, a consultant in sexual medicine, has been quoted as saying she does not see the Egyptian husband as kind or gentle, stating: "The Egyptian man is not kind except in forbidden situations, unless he is spared by God."
