Hezbollah to Southern Residents: Remain Silent and Do Not Respond to Unknown Calls

A statement was issued by the military media of the Islamic Resistance, urging southern residents not to engage with any strange and unknown phone calls. The statement said: "Our honorable people... the Israeli enemy continues to seek alternatives to gather information about the resistance and the locations of its fighters in the southern villages, especially after losing a significant portion of the effectiveness of the surveillance and spying devices installed at its border sites due to their targeting and destruction by the resistance. In this context, the Israeli enemy resorts to calling some of our esteemed residents from phone numbers that appear Lebanese, through both landline and mobile networks, in order to inquire about certain individuals, their locations, and the status of some homes. The enemy impersonates various identities in these calls, sometimes posing as stations affiliated with the Internal Security Forces in southern areas, other times as centers of the Lebanese General Security, and at times pretending to be relief organizations offering assistance and more. The caller, who speaks in fluent Lebanese dialect, seeks to obtain information about the family members of the person being called and their whereabouts, or various details concerning the surroundings, all under the guise of showing care and the intention to provide help. The enemy exploits this information to verify the status of the Mujahideen residing in certain homes it intends to target." The statement added: "We urge our dear people in general, and particularly the residents of the frontline villages, not to engage with the caller in any inquiry related to the surroundings and the movement of individuals within it, and to immediately disconnect the call, then promptly inform the relevant authorities without delay."
