The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today, Saturday, via its official account on the "X" platform, that "6 Israeli missiles targeted the area of Aleppo International Airport, resulting in the death and injury of 7 people."
The observatory also confirmed the killing of "19 pro-Iranian elements in strikes in eastern Syria," adding that "among the dead are four Syrian fighters, in addition to six others of Iraqi nationality who were killed in nine airstrikes carried out by planes believed to be Israeli early Saturday near the Iraqi border."
For its part, the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement: "Israel targeted the city of Aleppo today with an airstrike that caused some 'material losses' there." The statement noted that "Israel carried out an aerial aggression from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea west of Latakia, targeting several points south of the city of Aleppo."
In Jerusalem, a spokesman for the Israeli army refrained from commenting.
