8 Earthquakes Strike Syria

The National Earthquake Center in Syria announced the recording of 8 weak earthquakes in several provinces and regions over the past 24 hours. The center indicated that the tremors ranged in intensity from 1.4 to 3 degrees on the Richter scale in areas 22 km, 28 km, and 29 km east of Hama, in the Iskenderun area 44 km northwest of Idlib, 64 km northwest of Latakia, and 27 km southwest of Latakia. The center added that the stations also recorded two additional quakes, the first 64 km southeast of Tartus and the second 43 km south of Tartus near the Syrian-Lebanese border.
