Another file has emerged early regarding the extension of the Army Commander’s service for an additional year before his retirement on January 10 next year. In this context, a responsible source in the "Kataeb" party responded to a question from "Anbaa" regarding the party's position on the matter of extending the Army Commander's service, stating: "We do not want to enter into hypotheses regarding a due date that is still far off. We fundamentally believe that all proposed options are incorrect, and the best for us is to elect a president for the republic, as this process constitutes a solution to all these dilemmas, away from interpretations." The same goes for the position of a responsible source in the "Lebanese Forces," who viewed that "approaching this file is premature," and identified the next week or the following week as a possible time to announce a specific position on this entitlement, according to "Anbaa" Kuwait.
