Osama Hamdan, a leader in Hamas, condemned Israeli practices against the Palestinian people in Gaza, stating: "This Nazi occupation has committed every crime imaginable, in blatant violation of all rules, norms, treaties, and international humanitarian law, including mass killings, forced displacement, the detention of innocent civilians, their nakedness and torture, filming them, the systematic targeting of children for killing and abduction, women, and sniping civilians after they are evacuated from shelters, and the destruction of all components of human life in the Gaza Strip, including hospitals, UNRWA shelters, schools, universities, mosques, churches, service centers, and even exhuming graves and desecrating the bodies of martyrs and stealing their organs."
He added: "Our people in all of Gaza Strip continue to face the threat of death every day, with the increasing number of displaced persons, the lack of suitable shelters, and the scarcity of aid reaching all areas of the strip. The catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza warns of a significant rise in the number of martyrs, wounded, sick, and displaced."
He continued: "For more than three full months, this Nazi enemy has not achieved any of its aggressive objectives, and it is trying through the escalation of its brutal crimes against the innocent and civilians, including children and women, to present a false image of victory, but it has not achieved it, and it will not, thanks to God, and the steadfastness of our people and the bravery of our resistance."
He added: "The positions expressed by Secretary Blinken regarding the lawsuit in the International Court of Justice, and his statement that 'this step distracts efforts to contain the escalation,' and that the genocide lawsuit is 'baseless'; are an American attempt to obscure the reality of the crimes being committed by the occupation in Gaza, and an attempt to disrupt the tools of international justice from playing their role. In this context, we ask; Is the killing of nearly 30,000 civilians by the occupation, most of them children and women, baseless?!! Is the policy of starvation and thirst and cutting off water sources for the residents of Gaza baseless?!! Is the destruction of 70% of Gaza baseless?!! Is the destruction of 30 hospitals and the killing of doctors and journalists baseless?!! It is hypocrisy, lies, and a double standard policy of the Biden administration, which is complicit in this genocide."
