New Circular Regarding "Students from the South"

New Circular Regarding

The Director General of Vocational and Technical Education, Hanadi Bri, issued a circular regarding the allowance for students in the Southern and Nabatieh governorates to attend examination centers not indicated on their nomination cards. The circular stated: "Given the security situation in the Southern and Nabatieh governorates, which has forced many citizens to flee their villages, and to enable students enrolled in public and private technical institutes to sit for the official examinations for the year 2024, particularly those who have been displaced to other Lebanese areas, it is requested that all heads of official examination centers conducting the examinations by the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education:

1. Permit candidates for the official examinations who were enrolled in public and private technical institutes in both the Southern and Nabatieh governorates to enter any other examination center and take the official examinations there, with the requirement to inform the Monitoring and Examinations Department of this immediately.

2. The papers of these students should be placed in a special envelope, labeled with the name of the original center where the students were supposed to take the official examinations."
