Gas companies and pipeline operating institutions mentioned today, Tuesday, that "the intense confrontation between Ukrainian and Russian forces near a pipeline used by Russia to supply European countries with gas has not disrupted supplies." The European Union has reduced its reliance on Russian gas since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, with Austria remaining the most dependent country on Russian supplies within the EU. A spokesperson for the Austrian company "Gas Connect" stated: "We are not aware of any pressure fluctuations, all flows are proceeding as expected, and there are no indications of any violations."
