European Union Foreign Policy Chief Josep Borrell confirmed today, Saturday, that the EU should accelerate the supply of ammunition to Ukraine, as its forces need 1,000 artillery shells daily in the Bakhmut area alone. Borrell noted that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba informed his EU counterparts during a meeting in Stockholm about Kyiv's need for more support to defend itself against the Russian invasion. He added that Ukraine particularly needs long-range ammunition, "because the Russians are conducting bombardments from a distance," stressing that "Ukrainians need to have the capability to reach the same range."
