The Directorate of Military Intelligence affiliated with the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, the arrest of 9 terrorists in four provinces. The directorate stated in a statement: "In separate operations based on accurate intelligence information from the intelligence divisions of the 7th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th brigades, in cooperation with the ground forces present in their areas of responsibility, and through well-organized ambushes and raids on the terrorists' locations, nine terrorists wanted by the Iraqi judiciary were arrested, in accordance with Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law." It added that "the operations took place in various areas of the provinces of Baghdad, Anbar, Kirkuk, and Nineveh, and those arrested were working for and belonged to ISIS gangs in different ranks." It confirmed that the detainees were handed over to the requesting parties both in the field and legally.
