The British newspaper Daily Mail reported the birth of an Indian baby with four arms, four legs, and two faces, who died five hours after birth. The newspaper noted that "the baby was born in a hospital in the city of Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, northern India," and stated that "this anomaly is very rare and does not have a name yet." This occurred because two fetuses grew together, with the arms and legs fused and protruding from the abdomen of the second baby. The newborn could not survive long and died after about five hours. It was revealed that the mother did not undergo the necessary examinations, making the birth of such a child a surprise to the hospital staff. According to the newspaper, the medical team was so bewildered by the unusual newborn that they initially took him outside the hospital. It later became apparent that the baby could not eat normally.
