The Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Yusuf Khoury, issued a decision to extend the deadline for calculating fees on the basis of an exchange rate of 1507.50 Lebanese pounds for one US dollar. This applies to contracts submitted to the real estate registries and recorded in the daily register before 01/12/2022, as well as contracts that are provisionally registered or organized before 15/11/2022 as follows:
- For the real estate registries in the Beqaa until 30/10/2024
- For other real estate registries until 31/8/2024
This decision aims to protect the rights of citizens after the forced delay that occurred in the real estate offices.
