Scandal at a University in Egypt: The Star is a Member of Parliament

An unfortunate incident occurred at "South Valley" University in southern Egypt, where a parliament member was caught cheating during exams at the university's Faculty of Law. The incident began when a verbal altercation erupted between a third-year law student (enrolled) and a university professor responsible for monitoring the exams. The professor managed to catch the student cheating using earphones, leading to further complications when the parliament member physically assaulted another monitor who attempted to intervene.

The university elaborated on the details of the incident, stating that one of the teaching assistants, a lecturer, was overseeing the third-year law students during an exam on administrative judiciary. During this time, she heard a sound coming from one of the students. When the monitor approached the student to verify the source of the sound, she discovered that the student was using a wireless earphone connected to a device to cheat. The monitor immediately requested that the student remove the earphone.

The university indicated that the student refused to hand over the earphone and physically attacked the monitor. When another invigilator tried to assist her colleague, she was also assaulted. It later became clear that the student is a member of the parliament. Consequently, an official cheating report was filed against her after she was caught in the act.

The university decided to take necessary actions against the member of parliament and escalate the matter to the relevant authorities. Meanwhile, it was revealed that the parliament member is "N.R.", a member of the Egyptian parliament representing one of the governorates in Upper Egypt, and is currently a third-year "enrolled" student at the Faculty of Law, South Valley University.
