The Iraqi Central Football Association confirmed that it is not responsible for the sale of tickets for the classical match between Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Zawraa, which took place last Monday evening at the conclusion of the 31st round of the Iraqi Premier League, ending with a victory for Al-Zawraa by a single goal.
In a statement today, Wednesday, the Football Association expressed, "The Iraqi Football Association would like to clarify to the esteemed public that the ticket sales for the match between Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and Al-Zawraa, held at the International City Stadium as part of the Iraqi Premier League, were the responsibility of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya club, and the association had no involvement in it whatsoever."
The statement added, "The association calls on all media outlets to exercise accuracy when handling news, and to avoid misleading the public with false and irrelevant information, especially at a time when everyone should unite and support the positive aspects of advancing Iraqi football and developing the league competitions."
