Shocking End: Shark Eats International Actor

Professional American surfer Tamayo Perry, known in Hollywood for his supporting roles, especially in the film "Pirates of the Caribbean," was killed in a shark attack in Hawaii on Sunday. The 49-year-old professional lifeguard, a celebrity on the island of Oahu, was surfing off Maliko Beach when a shark attacked him around noon, according to CNN. Local official Shane Enright stated in a press conference that rescue services received a report of a "surfer suffering fatal injuries from a shark attack." She added that his body was "pulled to shore," where his death was confirmed.

Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi described Tamayo as a "legendary waterman," expressing his sorrow for the "tragic loss." The former professional surfer gained fame in the early 2000s as one of the specialists in surfing the "Pipeline," considered one of the most dangerous surf spots in the world, located at the famous North Shore beach in Oahu. Perry participated in several artistic works, including the role of a pirate in "Pirates of the Caribbean." He also appeared in the TV series Hawaii Five-O and Lost, as well as in the 2002 surfing film Blue Crush. His achievements extended beyond acting; he was also a lifeguard and professional surfer, holding a prestigious place in his local community.

It is noted that the Hawaiian archipelago frequently witnesses shark attacks, but they rarely result in fatalities; only 5 people have died in 81 incidents involving surfers, swimmers, or divers recorded in the last ten years, according to statistics from the authorities.
