The press office of "Roscosmos" announced the launch of the Soyuz-2.1A rocket carrying the cargo spacecraft "Progress MS-21" into space. The office noted that the launch took place on the morning of Wednesday, October 26, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. After a few minutes following the rocket's launch, the spacecraft reached its designated orbit, from where it will begin its autonomous journey, completing 34 orbits around Earth before docking with the International Space Station at 5:50 Moscow time on October 28, 2022, where it will remain for approximately eight months.

"Progress MS-21" carries over 2.5 tons of cargo to the International Space Station, including fuel for the station, drinking water, nitrogen to maintain air composition stability within the station, equipment and spare parts for the Russian sector, personal protective equipment, medical supplies and devices, new clothing, and fresh food, including fruits and vegetables. Additionally, the spacecraft carries equipment for conducting experiments on the digestive system, immune system, and human bone tissue in space, examining pollution from the station's engines, and studying stratiform clouds in the atmosphere. It also carries spools of filament for use as consumable material in a 3D printer.
