"Forces" Attack: The Problem Lies in Hezbollah's Chaos-Generating Island

The media department of the Lebanese Forces party confirmed that the investigation into the murder of Pascal Suleiman must be clear, transparent, public, explicit, and precise regarding its facts and circumstances. Until the results of this investigation are issued, we consider that Pascal Suleiman was subjected to a political assassination.

In a statement, it said: "In any case, what should be emphasized, highlighted, and focused on is that what led to this assassination, regardless of its backgrounds, are essential and fundamental factors:

- The first factor is the existence of the 'party' in its current form under the pretext of so-called resistance or other justifications. This illegitimate presence of the party has led to the disruption of the state's role and its effectiveness, opening the way for armed gangs and lawlessness. Thus, the main problem lies in the chaos-generating island of the 'party'. Unless this island's situation is addressed, efforts to control lawlessness will be in vain. These gangs exist but are fed by the absence of the state.

- The second factor is the loose borders that the 'party' has turned into a strategic line between Tehran and Beirut under the guise of the unity of arenas, thereby nullifying the borders. Unless illegal crossings are closed and legal crossings are controlled, these borders will remain conduits for political and criminal crimes and drug trafficking. Therefore, those who keep the borders loose and 'uncontrolled' are responsible for the crimes committed either directly or indirectly.

- The third factor involves the "evisceration" of the state's judicial, security, military, and other institutions by preventing them from functioning in certain areas, in specific cases, or in matters related to any person belonging to the resistance axis."

The media department confirmed that it is "waiting for the investigation to conclude as soon as possible to act accordingly. However, at the same time, it urges the Lebanese to continue their struggle to eliminate the causes of assassinations and crimes of all kinds, something that cannot be achieved except through moving towards an actual state that alone exercises sovereignty over all its territories, which alone holds the exclusivity of arms, and it is not forbidden for it to enter any area it desires or to investigate any matter it wishes."
