Saudi Arabia: Massive Funding from the Social Development Bank

A report issued by the Social Development Bank revealed that funding and enabling services supporting entrepreneurship and business model development in Saudi Arabia reached 4.6 billion riyals, benefiting 70,000 citizens from various regions. This funding was distributed as follows: 1.7 billion riyals for freelancers and productive families, over 1.6 billion riyals for 5,000 small and emerging enterprises, and social funding of 1.3 billion riyals benefiting more than 23,000 beneficiaries.

The report for the first half of the current year highlighted the bank's continued efforts in enabling financial and savings planning for beneficiaries, with a total of 19,000 supported savings accounts by the end of this quarter, while 29,000 entrepreneurs benefited from empowerment and development programs.

**Diverse Initiatives and Services**

According to the report, as per the Saudi Press Agency, the bank contributed by offering a range of varied initiatives and services in support, assistance, and business development through the Dalni Business Center, providing quality non-financial services including training, guidance, and partnership building, targeting entrepreneurs and owners of small and emerging enterprises. Additionally, the “Jadah 30” initiative has expanded to 11 branches after launching 3 branches this year in the cities of Mecca, Dammam, and Al-Jouf to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, freelancers, innovators, and small and emerging enterprises. This reflects the bank's commitment to providing its diverse services to all regions of the Kingdom, aiming to ensure equal opportunities to access comprehensive packages of financial and non-financial services.
