Israeli artillery has shelled the town of Khyam with phosphorous shells, while Israeli warplanes targeted the area surrounding Mount Blat in the western sector. The area around the Dubashah site, overlooking the city of Nabatiyeh and the outskirts of Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, was hit by artillery fire using phosphorous shells, with the source being Israeli army positions within Palestinian territories. This is an attempt by Israel to ignite fires in the surrounding forests.
Since 5:45 PM today, the town of Yahr al-Shuqayf has been subjected to intense artillery shelling with incendiary and phosphorous shells. Shells fell between homes in the Arid neighborhood of Qalaat al-Shuqayf, leading to several injuries among civilians, as well as causing damage to homes and shattering glass in many houses throughout the town.
The shelling also targeted the outskirts of Deir Siryan, the vicinity of the army barracks in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa, and the outskirts of Kfartabniyet, causing fires in the forests. Civil defense teams and the Islamic Health Authority managed to contain the fires caused by the artillery shelling with phosphorous shells in the forests of Ali al-Tahir and around the army barracks in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa. There have been reports of panic and tension among civilians.
Teams from the Imam Mahdi Scouts were sheltering in a scouting camp in the town when shells landed nearby. Additionally, a home in Nabatiyeh al-Fawqa was damaged due to shrapnel from the phosphorous shells in the area.
