Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated on Sunday that the number of casualties among the Ukrainian armed forces changes daily and not for the better. In an interview with the BBC, he said, "I know the number of people we lose every day, and I sadly see these changes, which are not in a positive direction and are not diminishing." Zelensky refused to provide a precise death toll and could not clearly answer the question of how long the Ukrainian armed forces could withstand such losses. He added, "It primarily depends on the morale of the military, on the morale of the people who ensure that the military is paid, and it depends on the unity between the military and civilians in Ukraine, and it depends on Western unity."
