Narasimhan's tenure was the shortest for a major CEO in the global coffee chain. The company also announced the appointment of Brian Niccol, the current CEO of "Chipotle," as the new president and CEO of "Starbucks," set to begin his role on September 9. This move comes as "Starbucks" faces pressures from decreased sales due to boycotts related to support for the Israeli war on Gaza, which has also led the company to lower its profit and revenue expectations for the fiscal year 2024.
