Collision Between Chinese and Philippine Ships in the South China Sea

The Chinese Coast Guard stated that a Philippine supply ship dangerously approached a Chinese vessel, resulting in a minor collision after it illegally entered the waters adjacent to Thitu Island. The Coast Guard added in a statement that the Philippine transport and supply ship ignored serious and repeated warnings from China. The Chinese Coast Guard indicated that the ship approached the Chinese vessel in a deliberately dangerous and unprofessional manner, leading to the collision. The statement did not mention any injuries or damage to either ship.
