After the Constitutional Council rejected 9 parliamentary challenges out of 15 in two batches, only 6 requests remain for resolution before closing the case, which could positively or negatively impact the results of the parliamentary elections, and consequently affect the parliamentary and political landscape amidst the presidential vacancy due to the absence of political consensus and broken legal thresholds. A judicial source following the case stated in a call with "Nidaa Al-Watan" that "as of now, no files are ready to be announced," attributing the delay to "the council's meticulous and precise study of all requests." Regarding the files still with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the source revealed that the required documents and papers are now in the council's custody.
The 6 remaining challenges are:
- Haidar Zaher Al-Din Issa against MP Ahmad Rustom, winner of the Alawite seat in Akkar.
- Former MP Faisal Karami against MPs Rami Fanj, Ihab Matar, and Firas Al-Sulum.
- Jad Ghosn against MP Razi Al-Haj, winner of the Maronite seat in Metn, and MP Agop Bqerdonian, winner of the Armenian seat in Metn.
- Haidar Nasser, candidate for the Alawite seat in Tripoli, against Ihab Matar, winner of the Sunni seat in Tripoli, and Firas Al-Sulum, winner of the Alawite seat in Tripoli.
- Simon Safir against Ni'ma Afraim and Farid Haikal Al-Khazin in Kesrouan-Jbeil for the Maronite seat.
- Wasef Al-Hari against MP Fadi Al-Amala for the Shiite seat in Baabda district.
