Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced that he has reached an agreement with Fox News to conduct a debate with his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris on September 4 in Pennsylvania. Trump wrote on his Truth Social page: "I have agreed with Fox News to debate Kamala Harris on September 4... The debate will take place in Pennsylvania at a location to be determined."
Trump and Harris have not been able to agree on a date and channel for their debate for several weeks. Initially, the second round of the debate was scheduled for September 10 on ABC, but these plans were related to the participation of current U.S. President Joe Biden, who has since decided to withdraw from the election race. After that, Fox News, which is close to Republicans, proposed to hold the debate on its network on September 17, while Trump accuses ABC of being sympathetic to Democrats and spreading false news.
