Dozens of residents from the town of Frontignan in southwestern France were evacuated as fires ignited in a nearby pine forest, according to local authorities. The local civil security authorities reported on the platform "X" that a total of 600 firefighters, 11 water bombers, and two helicopters were deployed to contain the blaze. The fire, which has destroyed 300 hectares of land, broke out near the A9 highway from Montpellier to the Spanish border but is moving inwards towards the Gardiole mountains.
