Israeli Army Radio reported on Wednesday that over 100 rockets were launched from southern Lebanon towards Safed and Tiberias within a few minutes, while noting that most of the rockets were intercepted. Sirens sounded throughout the north, with consecutive explosions heard due to rocket interceptions in wide areas of Upper and Lower Galilee.
According to Hebrew media, one factory in the settlement of Sa'sa' was directly hit. Avichay Adraee stated, "Following the alarms in the north, it concerns monitoring the launch of about 90 rockets from Lebanon, some of which were intercepted while others fell in several areas in the northern part of the country, causing fires in multiple locations. Details are under examination."
Reports indicated a rocket was launched towards an Israeli site in the Shebaa Farms. Hezbollah mourned a prominent leader in its ranks who was killed in an Israeli strike in southern Lebanon, along with three fighters. Hezbollah's statement mourned "the martyr, the Mujahid leader Talib Sami Abdullah," also known as "Hajj Abu Talib," born in 1969 from the town of Adchit in southern Lebanon, noting that he "ascended as a martyr on the way to Jerusalem."
A source close to Hezbollah confirmed that the senior field leader was killed in an Israeli strike targeting the town of Jouiya in southern Lebanon, located about 15 kilometers from the Israeli border. In a subsequent statement, Hezbollah mourned three of its fighters, the first being "Mujahid Mohammed Hussein Sabra," born in 1973 from the town of Haddatha in southern Lebanon. A source close to the group confirmed Sabra was killed in the same strike as Abdullah.
Additionally, Ali Salim Soufan, known as "Kamil," born in 1971 from the town of Jouiya, and Hussein Qassem Hamid, known as "Sajid," born in 1980 from the city of Bint Jbeil, were also mentioned. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on Abdullah's death. Israel had previously targeted and killed leaders and fighters of the group in recent weeks through drone strikes aimed at vehicles and motorcycles.
